The prestigious Inter-School Event, ‘MI-me’, was graciously hosted by Suncity school, Sector-54, on Friday, 27th of September 2024. ‘MI-me’, a celebration of Howard Gardner’s illustrious theory of Multiple Intelligences, saw the participation of sixteen eminent schools, including the host school. The event offered young minds a splendid platform to explore and uncover their inherent talents, nurturing creativity and self-expression.
The event was graced by the presence of the esteemed judges Ms. Avanti Kaul, Dr. Harshali Singh, Ms. Swati Gupta, Ms. Neema Goyal, Ms. Zeenia Madan Gupta, Ms. Gopi Majmudar and Ms. Rashi Haritash.
The programme commenced with the graceful ‘Lighting of the Lamp’ ceremony in the revered presence of distinguished guests, esteemed judges and the Vice Principal of the Elementary Years Programme, Ms. Sangeeta Bagchi. Following this sacred ritual, the students of Suncity school mesmerized the audience with an enchanting dance performance, radiating artistic brilliance.
Throughout the day, participants engaged in a plethora of competitions, each performance a testament to the boundless confidence, creativity and talent of the young competitors. Their enthusiasm illuminated the spirit of the event, making it a truly unforgettable experience.
A highlight of the day was the inspiring participation of children from the esteemed NGO, ‘Teens of God’, who were extended the opportunity to showcase their remarkable talents. Their performance met with resounding applause and heartfelt admiration, leaving an indelible mark on all present.
‘MI-me’ Champion of the Day was an exclusive category where one child from EYP2 (Lower Kindergarten), EYP3 (Upper Kindergarten), Grade I and Grade II from each school participated in all the competitions for that particular grade. The children performed with great enthusiasm and made their schools proud by bringing laurels.
The following students from Suncity school, sector 54, made us proud by winning various competitions:
• Natasha Upadhyay won the ‘MI-me’ Champion of the Day from EYP2 (Lower Kindergarten).
• Naomika Sharma won the ‘MI-me’ Champion of the Day from EYP3 (Upper Kindergarten).
• Kavish Lath stood as the ‘MI-me’ Champion of the Day from Grade II.
• Kabir Khandelwal of EYP1 (Nursery) stood at the 2nd position in the category ‘The Rising Bird of Wonder’.
• Viti Gupta of EYP1 (Nursery) stood at the 1st position in the Bodily Kinesthetic Competition, ‘Garden-Fresh Food Run’.
• Meher Kaushik of EYP1 (Nursery) won the 2nd position in the Verbal Linguistic Competition, ‘Poetry Recital.
• Vihaan Nayyar of EYP2 (Lower Kindergarten) stood at the 1st position in the Logical Competition, ‘Wings to Rise’.
• Kiyaan Sharma of EYP2 (Lower Kindergarten) stood at the 3rd position in the Bodily Kinesthetic Competition, ‘Balance and Crawl Sprint’.
• Advika Mahajan of EYP2 (Lower Kindergarten) stood at the 1st position in the Verbal Linguistic Competition, ‘Whimsical Wanderers’.
• Vihaan Kushal Bhanushali of EYP3 (Upper Kindergarten) stood at the 1st position in the Naturalistic Competition, ‘Nature’s Tapestry’.
• Ruhaan Bharat Bhushan of EYP3 (Upper Kindergarten) stood at the 1st position in the Verbal Linguistic Competition, ‘Heroes in the Making’.
• Reyansh Jain of Grade I came 2nd in the Visual-Spatial & Naturalistic Competition, ‘Fantastic Forms’.
• Aashrita Agarwal of Grade I stood at the 1st position in the Bodily Kinesthetic Competition, ‘Phoenix Beadathon Adventure’.
• Kashvi Yadav of Grade I stood at the 1st position in the Verbal Linguistic Competition, ‘विज्ञापन –कल और आज’.
• Shivaay Gupta of Grade II came 2nd in the Visual-Spatial & Naturalistic Competition, ‘IMAGInature’.
• Anaaya Kapoor of Grade II stood at the 1st position in the Bodily Kinesthetic Competition, ‘Rising Phoenix’.
• Parshv Jain of Grade II stood at the 3rd position in the Verbal Linguistic Competition, ‘Tales of Triumph’.
The winners were felicitated by our esteemed judges and the Vice Principal- Elementary Years Programme, Ms. Sangeeta Bagchi. The event concluded with the presentation of a ‘Note of Gratitude’ and the harmonious rendition of the national anthem, leaving the children with a valuable and enriching learning experience.
